CCPA at ACPA BMore

This year’s ACPA Convention was held in Baltimore, MD on March 26-30, 2011. CCPA was delighted to join the 25 other state divisions, 3,191 attendees and over 600 programs presented at this year’s convention. CCPA hosted two of our signature events, our Open Business Meeting and a Western States Social in collaboration with Colorado and Arizona CPA. At the CCPA Open Business Meeting, members voted on our new Diversity and Inclusion Statement which passed unanimously.  We also discussed ways to get involved with new members and received updates about membership, newsletters, and upcoming CCPA elections with open positions. The most active conversation at this year’s convention was about the proposal for the consolidation of ACPA and NASPA. There were several open forums during convention to answer questions and engage the national membership in conversation about the proposal to consolidate.
